Platelet Rich Plasma

Autologous (OWN) Cellular Regeneration

Regen PRP is a medical technique that was developed in Switzerland for use in dermatological and surgical treatments such as wound care, orthopaedics, plastic surgery, cardiology, sports medicine and regeneration of aging and damaged skin.

Regen PRP has been used extensively throughout Europe, Asia and Australia and is now available here in New Zealand.

The technique is being used in the cosmetic medicine arena to enhance and stimulate collagen, using your own plasma; this technique is called “Autologous Cellular Regeneration”

What is Regen PRP?

The process is based on a revolutionary designed test tube with a gel that separates your red blood cells from your plasma, allowing easy access to a concentrate of platelets and proteins that when activated will release growth factors.

Platelets consist of granules which store multiple growth factors with the aim to regenerate aged and damaged tissue.

PRP is great for thin crepey skin, especially around the eyes, neck, décolletage, full face and hands. You will generally need one treatment per month for 3-4 months then a repeat treatment every 6-12 months.

This is a very safe treatment because we are using your own blood so there is no chance of an allergic reaction or serious side-effects. Swelling and redness of the treated areas is common and may be dramatic although usually only for 24 hours. Some bruising is also to be expected and although this can be covered with make-up after the initial 24 hour period it may take 1-2 weeks to clear completely.
